My 2001 vert does not have a 12 cd changer in it and I was wondering if someone could tell me what it would take to install one and about how much it would cost
Thanks for any help on this possible project
Fred
You would need to buy the original cd changer that was installed from the factory, which incidentally was made by Pioneer. That is the easy part, they occasionally pop up on the forum parts-for-sale section. However the part that will make this difficult is you also need the factory mount that mounts in the trunk, not easy to find. But even more difficult will be to find the cable that goes from the changer to tie into the radio so it all works integrated. I just sold all that on the forum as a complete package, so you will eventually find all that stuff. I pulled it all out to install a double din touchscreen nav radio. This will be a great mod IMO. The money for all the old tech parts would put you halfway to a new-tech system. Call Dennis at Double-D Mods instead. BTW, I sold all my stuff for over $300.
What you might also consider is an iPod adapter which I did even though I have a changer in the trunk. Contact Dennis at DDMods if interested. That way friends can bring along their own music.
