Default Interior rear view mirror bulb replacement

I have been upgrading interior lights to LEDs all looking really good..

I'm wanting to do the 2 that are sited in the base of the rear view mirror..
is there a knack to get the covers off?
they look a bit fragile, and don't want to break anything by forcing! can't seem to get them off, but also not wanting to get too ham fisted
and end up with busted unit

I used a small flat blade screw driver (might have been a jewelers) and just carefully popped them loose.

Don't know what year C5 you have, but recall the rear view mirror led's will only work in the non auto dimming (day/night) mirrors.

Did mine quite some time ago and it it's worth doing. I would hope that you took the mirror off to do this, for it's much easier to handle. I used a very small screwdriver and on the small tapered end of lense I slowly pried with a twist motion, it should just pop out. I just went out to my car to refresh my memory on how I had done it and noticed that one of mine had gone out, time to find that little screwdriver! Good luck and take your time!

thanks yes I sense its a bit tricky!
actually wasn't going to take it off, but now you mention it, it would be easier to handle, is it easy to take off?

There should be one screw with a torx head that holds it on at the mount. Take the screw out and just pull the mirror up off the mount. I did mine as well a while back with LED's too. Pretty easy job.
