I bought a modified C5 Z06 about three months ago. I've discovered the VSS was cut, and the connector was left in place.
What purpose does this serve? Is this an oversight on the previous owner's part? Or is there a mod where this is beneficial?
Also, I need your help to determine which color wire was connected to port A and port B of the PED 34 connector! (also delphi PT191)
Salvage / junk yards cut harnesses as they disassemble cars. Quicker than messing w/ the connectors. You may have a used unit, but why wasn't VSS hooked up?

No FSM now on the pin sorry.

This makes no sense. The VSS was the only one cut and arguably the easiest connection to pull. It's not like these harnesses are hard to get to.
I got the pins on the Speed Signal High and Speed Signal Low (400, 401).
This is puzzling me. It was a clean cut, even on both wires, too, so I know the connector wasn't simply pulled off during diff removal.
You need to figure out how the speedometer and odometer is working then.
Keying off the wheel-speed sensors of the ABS? That's how my Boxster worked.
I'll take a look in the FSM later if nobody comes up with a better explanation.

No. VSS goes to PCM and PCM calculates the speed and then drives the cluster with a PWM signal.
