c5 hood insulation retainers

c5 hood insulation retainers
I am in the process of painting my hood insulation and am curious as to what options there may be for the insulation retainers. I have seen chrome, what do you guys have, picks would be great. Thanks

I used sink block off caps that can be bought at stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. They are not chrome (at least I do not think they are), but are polished for a nice look under the hood. You do have to trim the plastic retainers slightly for the caps to fit over the retainers. They are 1 1/2" OD.

Those look nice Jack as does your vette. I will be heading to Lowes today to see if I can find them. Are they the caps for the top of the sink where a faucet or soap despensor other device would mount? If i have trouble finding them I may message you to see what dept at lowes they are found in. It's a relatively cheap mod that does make a nice visual statement. Good luck with the install.
