that's the way a lot of this is. there aren't really any mid line wheels besides the f14s and tsws

forgestar and tsw are probably your two best bets if you don't want to put $5000 wheels on a 15,000 car

I've gathered I'm pretty much limited to Forgestar or Cray. Forgestar offers the concave I want available for the vehicle and no I can't justify spending $5k on a vehicle I paid $15k otd.

Now it's really a discussion on what sizes I can fit up front and if anyone has 19/19 they enjoy as CF10s are roughly 22lbs vs the 21lbs and 18x11 F14 is. So once again I ask will an 18x11 et 55 fit up front on a 275 or 285 tire? Does anyone know if the 18x11 or 18x10 has the same "face" (amount of concavity) ? I am really only looking for wide rims because they offer concavity.

Also if anyone cares to add knowledge. I have a feeling with wider front tires and wheels my rockers and doors will be more subject to my wheels throwing rock chips to them - am I right in thinking this? Secondly I hate the look of front "mud flaps" (forget what they're called) I have seen the C6 looking rear fender guards (mud flaps) that look amazing - mainly saw these in the widebody fender thread. I'm not sure if they're different than ones I've seen sold by RPI but they certainly look cleaner. So I like them in the rear but am curious of protection of the front. I was considering after winter to get the chips in the front touched up and then using expel to protect the other bits.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Yes I am looking to do a square wheel and tire set up - let the discussion on nannies begin. It seems some have issues while others do not

CSB. Guess my car looks absolutely ridiculous to you then.

People run OEM C5Z 18x10.5 +54mm rear wheels on the front occasionally, so, yes, the 18x11s will "fit". However, they will poke the tires out past the fender a bit.

If both wheels have the same amount of offset, then the wider wheel should have more concavity.

Okay "poke" sounds like fender rub so I'd kind of like to avoid that. The reason I asked about the face is because 18x10 - 18x12 are in the same "Deep Concave" section on their website. http://www.forgestar.com/v2/wheelsf14.php

If your front sidewalls are truly taller than your rears, then yes. Your narrow tires are stretched wide, so any sidewall height difference would be less noticeable on your car due to distortion anyway.

The previous owner of my car had installed a poorly-matched set of Pirelli PZero Neros in a 275/30R19 front, 305/25R20 combo. It looked ridiculous. The front tires visually looked larger than the rears. Thoughts of FWD import drag cars haunted me. I fixed the tire issue so fast your head would spin.

I think these have a nice deep and wicked look to them. Don't know what they would look like on a C5.

I had run a 285 up front and 345 rears with HRE 540 a while back. The fronts were just a bit too wide. My last 2 sets of wheels including my current CF5 setup are 275/35/18. With a 44mm offset up front and 345/30/ 19 with a 43mm offset rears wrapped with Michelins PSS. I have tubbed rear to fit these in the rear.
