I decided to sell the Stealth Bomber and move on to a C6 Z06.
Last pic of the C5. It took 2nd place for the Corvette class at a small local car show. I'll miss my first Vette.

I found a worthy replacement though. This one makes 618bhp on a Mustang dyno, so it's just a little shy of the C5, but shouldn't take much to get back to 600whp. 2009 C6 Z06 Cyber Grey. Really is a sharp car and a blast to drive.

So just wanted to say thanks to everybody that helped along the way and provided encouragement with my C5 project. I won't be far--just going to head over to the C6 forum.

Congrats on your new C6. Sure looks sharp and should be one heck of a lot of fun out on the road.
why would you get rid of your C5? You should have done like I did and kept the C5 and still bought the C6. I recently purchased a 2011 C6 vert. 3lt in supersonic blue and love them both. Seriously, I know you will have a lot of smiles to the miles with your C6.
Thanks guys. Couldn't keep both because I don't have the garage space for a fourth car. I also figured I wouldn't be driving it much with the z06 sitting right there, so I put it into circulation.

Looks like a real beauty that C6. I'm going through the same thought process now. I know what a difficult decision it must have been for you to make this change. I'm not sure which way I'll go, but if I could pick a C6 it would be a Cyber Gray coupe. Best of luck with it.

Bye Felicia!
Enjoy the new C6Z.
IMO its the only C6 to get, that or the ZR1. Base models and GS don't do anything for me.

Maxx... The GS's are some pretty nice machines...! A lot of fast ones here in DFW... the forged LS3 is a BEAST when built right... I have a few friends that own Grand Sports.. they are ALL very quick...
Nice C6Z... As Maxx said... The C6ZR1 would be the only way I would get rid of my C5Z....

Depends on the price difference between like condition GS, and Z06s, if you don't mind mods. Probably cheaper to start with a Z. Nice car, OP.

As the Jeffersons said "Movin on Up!"
Congrats!
I'm familiar with the parking issue thing. My c6 had to go to make room for my c7.

It was tough. The Stealth Bomber is fast and clean, and my first. I wanted to keep it, but just don't have the space.Originally Posted by roadbike56

It's such an aggressive looking car. Strong allure.Originally Posted by Maxx_Z06

Man you put so much time and money into the C5 in such a short period. Hate to see you leave the C5 side but hope your new Z will keep you happy for a few months until the new C7 Z06 arrives! Cheers.
