I'm new to the forum and Corvette ownership. I recently purchased a 2000 coupe in good mechanical shape but needs a few small cosmetic repairs. The headliner behind the targa top hangs down on the one side. I think it needs a new push fastener, but I can't find them online. Does anyone know where to get them or if there is something else wrong? I need it black.
Thanks for the ideas. I may have to go the "glue" route to fix it. I am talking about the hard plastic liner just behind the glass top. This black plastic piece actually has the holes cut into it for the targa top pins to go through. It appears as though the male black push fastener might be worn (or the female end is worn). I figured I would replace that as a first attempt, but I can't seem to find them online and don't know if a Chevy dealer would have them.

Most well stocked Auto Parts stores also carry Dorman "Help" replacement parts...lot of odd ball, off the wall stuff. Clips, screws, etc, etc. You will porbably find those rivits there.
I have the same issue with my 02 coupe. Keep us posted on what you find!
I don't see another clip underneath the trim, so I am assuming that it is the small rivet/screw that is holding it up. My concern is that the pin on the glass roof panel is actually holding it up now and eventually it will mark up the black trim. The fastener has a flat head that measures about 3/8" diameter (that's what makes me think it is a rivet instead of a screw). My next step is to go to a Chevy dealer to see if they can be any help. Has anyone tried that yet before I waste my time?

You're right, I just misread his question. Hopefully he can find the parts he needs at an auto parts store. If not, take the car to a good body shop and see if they can give you some suggestions. Good luck getting the trim piece fixed.
