So first I blacked out the lettering (no those aren't decals, I painted them by hand) and covered the braided fuel line with black......
painted the white black on the washer cap.....
coated the yellow part of the oil dipstick with bedliner
took the labels off the battery and the coolant reservoir cap (the cap does still have a warning on it...it's just hard to see in black)
more to do but this is what it looks like so far..
Plan on covering the oil filler cap........the power steering filler cap...
and coating the brake fluid reservoir....and painting the alternator and the alternator brackets......

While I prefer more color to my engine bay, looks like you are getting yours the way you like it - blacked out.
I hear ya bud....... if our car were a different color than the medium spiral gray and wasn't a black vert top and black interior.....I probably would do something different....it's just a nice contrast with the hood open to continue the blackened theme into the engine bay.....kinda trying to do my interpretation of what it could have looked like from the factory... modifying it without doing too much "custom" look.... just plain and simple.
Just getting rid of off colors.....want to make it more black and gray, so I may just polish the aluminum.
Plus most can be undone fairly easily....the kind of mods I like.
You always have nice things to say.....thanks for being that kind of guy.

try to show why I am carrying over the blackened engine bay, hey, GM started it not me hehe ..... hard to get the right pic and angle..... it looks much better in person..... I would like for corvette guys to ask...... "Is that stock?" " What is different?"

That black theme goes well with your car. I think you are doing the right thing with it. Good way to make it yours. I have a bit of chrome to go along with my black and carbon pieces.
It looks great! Mine is torch red with dark windows, and soon to be black wheels and cast exhaust tip. I will be doing this to my car as well. NICE WORK! There has to be something better than wire loom to cover lines with though.

Totally agree.....will probably paint the braided fuel line just wanted to see if it was too much black......
Not really sure about it, but hey...when in doubt...black it out!
Seriously though, looks like a pretty cool theme...murdered motor. And agree that blacking out EVERYTHING (i.e. TB, alternator, fluid resevoir, etc) will really complete the theme.
