I enjoy my convertible a whole lot, and trust you will enjoy yours.
The fact that you sold one to get another suggests this is a better than average car, but I don't know what a z51 model designation represents. I wouldn't mind a little bragging over details.
I just have plain old garden variety triple black lowered on chrome wagon wheels sled, but I still manage a good amount of smiles per cruise.

the z51 added better suspension vs base suspension. This car has every option that was offered in 2000. Such a different car than my 82. Love the vert.
Great looking car! The Z51 option included a power steering cooler, performance rear gear (auto: 3:15; manual: 3:42), larger stabilizer bars, along with stiffer springs and shocks.
Welcome to the C5 fraternity of owning the most beautifully designed, the most slippery drag coefficient Corvette 'Ever" made, that's fact! Anyway, enjoy the toy and have fun with future mods. By the way, I installed Z06 sway bars and Bilsteins on my Z51/FRC and what a great marriage between those two suspensions !!
Not sure if you've posted pics of your vette before or if I saw them on some other vette, but where did you get those unique billet grilles? I've never seen those for sale anywhere. I like those extra curves they have.
As one former C3 owner to another, welcome to the C5. Very nice looking ride.
Now get ready for the "Is that a new Vette?" questions when you pull in for gas or park it somewhere.
