Default Deciphering vin

I have done a few searches and understand the designations of each number but what I am trying to determine is if my car is an early z or middle of pack. It's an 01 and the last 6 digits are 113000 built in 11/2000.

I don't know if it's different for coupe, vert, frc

The vin numbers are different for 01 Z06 production than the coupe and convert.

Check this link, there is a conflict with your vin last 6 digits vs. the vin sequence range for your model (Z).

Here is a link with 01 Z06 specific info.

Thanks guys. I have the build sheet from gm and it's an 11/2000 build. It sounds like there is not a way to tell what number z you can with the 90-95 zr-1?

That means that it was # 3000 built. In 2001 there were 5733 Z06s built. So yours is about the middle.

I've see other posts about Z06 VIN's over the years with reference to this same web site. The Z06 VIN's are not a separate range of VIN's. A 1 in the 6th digit of the VIN indicates whether the car is a Z or not, and NOT the last 6 digits of the VIN.
It appears that for whatever reason the vin ranges for at least this model year appear to be different in multiple listings. I agree the last 6 digits won't tell you much except the sequence in production that year. So why is there multiple documents that indicate special last 6 digit ranges for zo6's during this model year? And if they are incorrect you would think that the sites might have corrected them sometime in last 13 years. Wishful thinking on my part no doubt.

Anyway here is another site that also adds to the confusion.

From here, it looks like the 2001 coupe/convertible and the Z06 will have the same 6 digit sequence numbers (up to where the Z06 number ends with 105773) but the Z06 has a "S" as the 8th digit to indicate the LS6 engine where the coupe/convertible will have a "G" for the LS1 motor.
