It was fairly mild here and I drove it at least 1-2x a month those winters. Last years brutal winter was the first time it sat for 3 months or so. Hoping we get another mild winter here in the NE.
It doesn't take a rodent problem, it takes one mouse to chew up your wiring. Mice can get into just about anywhere. They can get into a 1/4 inch opening and even sneak in when you open the door.

This is in an attached 2 car garage, insulated walls and it stays above freezing. Sounds like you are winterizing a $1mil original 427 a/c cobra or something. I love my car too but it's just a c5, don't get too carried away with it all.
Well, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I basically do many of the same things as the OP with my car each winter for storage. I also add a bottle of Sta-Bil to the gas to keep it fresh. In addition, I change my oil when I put the car in storage - I just do not want the old oil sitting in the car for around four months.

I don't think it is overkill at all. Plus, I agree with removing the battery for long term storage. My C5 is normally hibernating a solid 5 months here and Buffalo and i have always taken the battery out and stored it in my basement. Every year the car fires right up with no issues. I follow similar procedures with the dryer sheets, mothballs, over-inflated tires, etc.

My only issue in about 6 years of storage was a broken valve stem on one wheel which occurred in the spring when i went to lower the tire pressure. Local Dunn Tire replaced it for free!
