I know it's the time of year that many members put their C5s away for winter hibernation, however living in SW Florida, it's now "top down driving season"! As a result, I just completed my full annual fall detail that included a Dawn wash, full clay bar treatment, Adams Swirl and Haze Remover, Adams Machine Polish, two coats of Adams Paint Sealant, Adams Glaze and finally two coats of Adams Americana Wax. After detailing the interior, I then pulled off the CCW wheels and gave them a light wet sanding followed by Adams 1 and 2 Metal Polish. I made a few additions as well: [
B]Baer Eradispeed +2 Rotors[/B] Braided Engine HosesEscort 9500ix with Blendmount and Mirror Wire TapNovistretch Front End Cover and Side Mirror Covers I don't really like the look of bras or front-end covers, however I wanted something to help during love bug season. I know these won't stop a rock, but they should help with the bugs and road grime on road trips.
Looks great. You will like the Escort. Did you do the wheels by hand? What grit paper?
Thanks. I will like the Escort a lot more once I get the mirror tap to work. I thought I had it, but the I can't get the leads installed correctly. If I want to use it, I have to run the cord down to the lighter. I will try again in a few days, I was getting frustrated with it.
As to the wheels, I didn't have any deep scratches so I started at 1500 and then went to 2000. They came out nice.

Thanks. If took a few days but it really needed a full detail. Next up is my wife's SUV. That I am not looking forward to.
I KNOW you've got people coming up to you and asking if
that's the NEW one!
Thanks. I was laughing when the guy asked me that at the gas station. Not bad for a 10 year-old car!

It only has a around 16K miles on it, however in my defense it is a weekend driver and my daily driver Acura has over 250K miles on it.
The good news is that I've made a career move that allows me to work out of my home office and travel on business according to my schedule. No more 100 mile/per day commutes!
As a result, I'm going to ditch the four doors as I'm eyeballing something like this later next year as a stable mate for the vert.
Looks like you've been busy. I know it takes a while to do that kind of detail work and the mods are a definate plus. Looks great. Congrats on the new job position.
Thanks. I agree that the new rotors compliment the CCWs.

Thanks for the offer. However the wife has a list of house projects that I need to get done before the holidays. I spent too much garage time the last two weeks now that the weather broke.

It is a Caravaggio rear spoiler. One of my favorite modifications.

Thanks. More of a shift in career strategy. It's working out well.

Jealous of you southern and western boys and girls who get to play with your cars all year long...
I actually drive top down more during the winter than during the summer. Black interior gets too blazing hot.

I purchased the front end cover and mirror covers as a set from West Coast Corvettes. I really like this newer style mesh cover. It breathes better than the previous version and in case you get caught in the rain, it won't sag like a wet sock.

Thanks. There are a lot of great C5s on this forum. I'm just trying to keep up.
