Hole in convertible top
I'd go to a fabric or trim shop and get one or two square inch piece of material that matches the color of the top and using contact cement, glue it from the inside of the top. Also check the convertible top frame and see if it caused the hole.
Where is the hole? Is it just one or is it two small holes about 3/4 inch apart low just behind the door glass? The "snake bite" holes are common when the top folds the wrong way. There are some very sharp screws in the frame that cause these holes.
I discovered this after having a new top installed and it was not yet "trained" to fold the right way. I removed the screws on both sides and cut off the (unnecessary) sharp tips and then reinstalled. I also trained the top at that point to fold out rather than in. I really should do something about those terrible looking holes - I did put a piece of Gorilla Tape on the inside so no moisture would get through.
