Mice!!
I also put traps and D-Con by each tire. In less than 24 hours I have caught two mice and one of the other traps got set.
Another forum member said maybe I should get rid of the traps and D-Con as they actually may be attracting the mice...which is obviously the polar opposite of what I'm trying to do.
Like I said, I have dryer sheets in the interior and dryer sheets plus moth ***** in the engine compartment. What are your opinions? Should I ditch the traps and D-Con?
my only complaint is the remote flux-capacitor that provides power only lasts 2000 kromians... and the warranty does not cover damage created by small rodents...
to answer your question... that is a tuff call. Which came first the chicken or the egg? At least your reducing the odds of a mouse infiltrating or breaching your current secruity/anti-mouse storage, sounds like it's working better than the whitehouse security system ... good luck

ExactlyHalf a bar in the back - Half in each foot well
Chunk in each tail pipe and a few spots in the engine
Chunk behind each tire
= No Mice

a horse barn for 25 years, always had 2 or 3 barn cats. Never
saw a rat or mouse. In the winter the cats sleep
on the horses back to keep warm.
defend themselves and it screws them up mentally. Just
ask any vet. Most wont do it.
Mice have secured their accommodations for the the upcoming winter! You just need to keep killing all the little buggers around your car.
I have never just killed /trapped one mouse. They travel in packs!

There are sonic repellents made by Black & Decker and others. Yes, they work. We had a mouse invade our house in Atlanta. Our pest control guy verified we had a mouse, but it must have died or left. He could see the droppings, but they were old and no new droppings were found. He attributed the sonic repellent with discouraging or killing the mouse (drives them crazy).

Dad always had a couple of barn cats. Often during the winter, you'd see the cats and dogs curled up together in a mound of straw. And I have seen cats on a horses back. Wish we'd had the camera technology back then, that we have now...
And the other post is correct, you never ever declaw a cat that will ever be allowed outside. A certain death warrant (coyotes, ie). Also, they would not be nearly as efficient at catching mice, without their claws.
Back before they had all the 'sprays' of now days, my grand mother made a concoction of vinegar and mint oil. Sprayed around the house , in the garden, and trash barrels, she swore it kept bugs, deer, rabbits, and rodents away.
Also, if you have a cats litter box in the garage, mice will smell that (cat pee), and go away.....
