I bought 98 vette last yr low mileage good exterior but the seats were worn thought about replacing carpet with seats but cost $1000 for carpeting I figure d I could live with what's there now use the money for other improvements like a new radio and speakers, eventually tires, it came with verstien's great tires! But exspensive
Still looking for a vendor recommendation. Someone must have purchased new carpeting. Doesn't have to be for a C5, just want good quality and fit. Thanks.
Mid America's always good - - many of the vendors buy from the same source - - -others are more focused on the specific generations as their areas of focus.
My advice is don't necessarily look for the lowest price and although there are good values on E-bay, their suppliers are less obvious. Stick with the vendors here and see who has the best sale or price.
Also a good time to put down a layer of sound/heat insulation - - I've always used Reflectix- available at your local home improvement store-- several of the vendors sell kits too.
Contact one of the Corvette recyclers. The often have sets pulled from wrecked cars that are in great shape. These guys often have really good stuff at great prices.
Appreciate the information and I will look into. I am into quality and willing to pay for it. Getting to the end of my build and while the existing carpet is a strong good it just doesn't meet my standard with this car. Have put in the sound/heat insulation and have been looking at carpet with a rubberized backing, but nothing will keep the noise down with this build. Again, thanks!

Or Marc at Vettenuts. Nashville (I think)
there are others. But these two excel.
Thanks for the help. Will see what they have and decide against new. Appreciate your help and comments.
If you want new carpeting or custom color carpeting, I would go with Mid-America. If you want used carpeting, go with one Corvette Recyclers or Vettenuts.
Also, depending on your build goals, any good interior automotive upholsterer can custom cut the parts. Be ready to spend more though. There was a member on the forum who installed some beautiful ash-colored Mercedes Benz carpeting into his black Z06. Wasn't cheap.
