[Z06] balance/alignment/loose feeling/thought??????
Ok here we go....continuation of earlier topic with more detail....smooth road, flat surface, TCAH on and off. Just got new wheels. Right after install had terrible out of bal situation. That was made better by taking the wheels off and pulling the pressure washers and reinstalling the wheels. ( forum advice)But still have a wobbly feeling at 75-80 and gets worse the higher you go. Also after this install I felt like the car was less stable at the higher speed. This wobble/feeling happens quicker on fast acceleration. Also when I touch the brakes at high speed the wobble gets worse (prob warped rotors). I think I am going to get a alignment and another balance. I have done all the road force stuff, moving tires on rim etc. Any additional thoughts. You guys came up with the pressure washers and that really helped. Any other ideas???
Has there been any resolution on this.
PLEASE keep us in the loop.
This is a problem a lot of folks have battled.
Any news????

have an appointment on Thur with my vette mechanic. He said we would start with the rotors (they are slightly warped, then go to the alignment and finally if necessary the alignment! I will post when I get the results. RG
Thanks KGRIF.
Maybe its' the rotors. I don't think alignment will cause vibration.
It would have to be waaaaaaaayyyy out.
Far enough you could "eyeball" the toe and camber.
If the caster is out side-to-side it'll pull and won't drive straight when you turn loose of the steering wheel.
I've got an older Vette that's got a similar problem.
Tires have been balanced, road force tested over and over.
Even replaced a couple of the tires. Still got a little vibration around 70-75.
Make SURE when they put it on the balancer that they use the "HUB CENTRIC" adapter.
If all else fails I think I'd try to find someone with one of the old spin balancers and have them balanced on the car.
Thanks for the update and best of luck with it.
Keep us informed, I'll be looking for the fix that you find and bet a lot of other forum members will also.
