Just picked up my first Corvette and it has a couple of small issues. The drivers seat has the rocking problem. I have seen it mentioned but not had any luck with searching for it.
The wife noticed a buzzing sound when at idle, I can hear it to but have to try. It changes pitch when additional electrical loads are put on, ie headlights but it does not go away. Sound is coming from the back of the car, I'm thinking fuel pump. opinions please.
Love the car only 35,000 miles when I picked it up and everything else feels good and tight.
Try google'ing "c5 rocking seat", searching this site with google works better than the search function does. Early cars did have noisey fuel pumps. Many post on that too.

I fixed the rocking seat on my '97 - relatively easy to do, just take your time. No fixing the noisy fuel pump without a lot of $ and/or effort. I did put dynamat in my car when I did the stereo and that helped mute the noise some.
I bought my 98 last year and had the same issues. The noise you hear is the fuel pump. As long as you hear it things are good. Stereo will help fix issue. I had the same issue with my seats. Took me about an hour and a half to fix the first one, about half the time to do the second one. Quite easy to do, just keep your computer or I pad close by and take your time.
