I have a 2000 convertible with 115k miles car runs great but lately the ride and handling have changed. now the suspension was refreshed
last year with c6zo6 shocks and the c6 z51 sway bars and metal end links. recently I was experiencing some occssional wheel hop when accelerating lightly in first on a damp road...usually it would spin a little and then hook...now it spins and then hooks up with some violent wheel hop until I let off the gas...feels like the spring may be shot. the ride g=height hasn't really change at all but car is very rough on bumpy roads...how do I ceck this and what would br the best replacement spring?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I do have a C5 Z51 rear spring I can send your way for $100.
If you do have a broken or frayed spring it will be most noticeable right in the area where the spring is covered by the mounting plate.
That's the area where they go bad first .
Am I the only one who thinks the described symptoms sound more like a shock gone bad?
(Or maybe control-arm bushings...)
Thanks for the input guys...I will remember you if I need a spring...yeah lee...could be a shock...they are only about a year old...but these things have been known to go...I just don.t know how to diagnose it...we will be getting it on a lift next week
