I sometimes consider that engine, but only as a dream, I don't need a new engine and developed the habit of dreaming about my cars so long ago I keep doing it , in between the women stuff. .
I saw two new Corvettes at the recent auto show, one covered in gold wrap, the other silver, both mistakes. The execution was flawless, your car should come out nicely, but the color was not as effective as you would think, it only suggested the well known shine of polished metal and finger prints were a whole new world . Too reflective to drive on the street, but the effect was a wannabe metal look, the material still looks like plastic foil.
I was once at a car show down at Newport, the place where people from Beverly Hills move to when they get some money, where a full carbon fiber body was used on the personal car of one of the tuner companies that offer work through the GM dealers, I forget which one. The most remarkable thing about that car was not the orange color of the carbon work , but rather the single seam of the body fabric running straight down the middle of the that car was perfectly matched, like the pocket would be matched up on a good shirt. I think , years later, I saw the car sell on a TV auction.
