Default Need some help please

My Traction Control and ABS warning light has been on for a while now. I checked at a local Chevy dealer and they said I need a new computer. I'm not one to pay the dealer price and would like to know if I can have my unit rebuilt with one of those places on the internet. I also found a local shop saying I could get it fixed for around $800. Does anyone have experience with this problem? I am a half assed mechanic, but I have never messed with a system like this. Your thoughts please.

Tighten and or clean the ground post near the battery, you may have to push the battery box out of the way to see it, it's on the frame rail toward the engine, it's 10mm I believe

I had your problem a few years ago, it was this bolt that loosened up.

I pulled the battery tray out to get at the small wire hooked to the frame rail. Sanded and cleaned the connectors. Replaced and tested. No change. Unfortunately it didn't correct the problem. I believe my computer is at fault. Must have got moisture in the system from not flushing brake system out every two years. Don't make the mistake I did. Always do a brake flush every other year.

As mentioned above, ABS fixer, is more than likely the one you need to contact. Had the same problem with my car and it was the EBCM. Sent it to ABS fixer and was good to go.

more than likely you can fix yourself in a couple of hours time at no cost... most of the time it's a bad solder connection on a relay inside the ebcm... it's pretty simple to remove and make the repair and there's no need to open any part of the brake system, the ebcm can be removed separately... this is assuming that is the cause of the problem as it could be a number of things... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-fleabay.html

I had the same problem, I removed my ebcm and all I did was touch the 5 ( five ) solder joints on the relay with a solder iron and no problems since I did this about 18 months ago. You can find pics of the relay and 5 solder joints here on the forum.. do a search.. good luck hope this works for you
