This is a great story and I can relate. My daughter (now 13) was not really in to my hobby. My son (8) was head over heels when I bought my 03 Z this Spring. I can't tell you how happy that made me! We hit Cars N Coffee every weekend! Hopefully I'll have a "before and after" pic like you in a few years.

A pretty badass truck 
My older daughter always points at my car and say's "race car". Guess it looks a bit faster than the 325i or mini-van! Mind you, she's not quite 4. 
Great to see you guys having a common car craze. When you said '04 Lightning I had no idea what you were talking about; thought maybe it was some special Corvette model! Google time. For others out there who know as little as I about trucks... it's a truck.
