I've got an 01' coupe, installing new radiator, what tool is for removing trans lines to radiator. My fittings do not have that clip. I looked at as many quick connect tools as I could find, and none of them will work for these fittings. Anyone know where to get the right tool? Thank you
Did the new radiator come with new fittings for the cooler? If so take a look at that. I use a pick to get the clip out. Then the lines should just slide out with some persuasion. Then when the new ones are installed you just push lines in and done.

no, my connectors don't have that external clip, they have an internal circular ring that needs to be spread out with a tool. I think I did find the tool, a OTC 6611, which nobody has locally, have to order it.
It shouldn't leak because the seal is an "O" ring, but the tool is very simple, similar to a plastic fuel line disconnect tool. The portion of the tool that is pushed into the Quick Disconnect fitting is a thin, plastic split sleeve (split so it can be clasped around the cooler line) but with a larger diameter rear portion that you can grasp and push into the fitting to spread the spring clip and pull the cooler line out.
The tool should be available a parts store, but in my case I mentioned it to the Service Manager at my dealer and he gave me one. A small plastic tool probably costing a few cents to manufacture.
Another option is to pick the locking spring out of the fitting with a VERY small screwdriver or tool you can make yourself.
The factory fittings do have a small ring in them that you can't pick, so you do need the tool or unscrew the fitting.
