i tried searching for this information, but came up empty. i have a 2004 ce 6 spd convertible (if that matters). could someone please tell me if the black seal (and the extension from it) that is under the cap collapses similarly to the seal in a master cylinder (when the fluid gets lower than full), or if it is always "extended" into the filler neck at all times?? if it is always in the extended position, what is the correct "maximum" fill level to keep from overflowing the filler when closing it up and capping it?? is it the ring that appears approximately 3/4 of the way up the tube (on the outside) or some other marking??
