Removing battery cable bolt
I want to remove the positive cable bolt. What is the correct procedure? Do I just pull on it with a pair of pliers to take it out? Thanks.

the bolt that goes directly into the side of the battery?... 8mm ratcheting wrench works best for me

I probably was not clear enough in my original post. My positive cable bolt is corroded so I just want to change that piece. I know how to remove battery cables from battery.
