Even though you've been a member for quite a while, good to know Ecklers has someone here to provide assistance to other owners.

Might want to peruse this section and see what you might be dealing with

I have been a customer of Ecklers for many years but your shipping costs to Canada in my opinion are too much! I totally understand that you are shipping out of the States but is there any discount for Corvette Forum members ? I need to buy some Lloyd mats for my car ! Thanks Scott

unfortunately they will not allow us to discount Canadian shipping at all these days. But if you call most of the time the sales rep is allowed to give a 10% discount without supervisor approval. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

If you live near the border you can ship to a mailing service in the States and pick up the packages there. Shipping is a lot cheaper and the border 'usually' overlooks the duties and taxes under a few hundred dollars even when you have only been across for 30 minutes. My service charges $3.00. OK you pay for gas and time but if you take your 'Vette it is a good excuse to drive. Oh and get a nexus or global entry pass to bypass the huge lines.

I am 30 minutes from the Pacific crossing here in the west. 25 minutes in the 'Vette though it was better when the exchange rate was favorable. But now that I know I will phone and ask for Scott!

I posted in that thread yesterday I believe. i'll put the response below. Thanks.

I do agree with you that $16 is a bit steep. We do have a contract with FedEx on our shipping. But over the last few months we have been trying to use more USPS for smaller shipments like in your case. That way we can lower the cost on smaller parts. I know a major concern with our customers is shipping and we have had a lot of talks on how to fix this.
