That wheel hop was painful. The entire back of the car was jumping.
That was just some driveline shudder with the tires fighting for traction, I have stayed in it with mine under the same conditions. Wheel hop is when the rear and wheels are hopping and banging. That's much worse than what this guy did. With any wheel hop in a c5 I just back of and give up on the run. It's not worth it, serious damage can occur if you stay in it with bad wheel hop.
It was better but 124mph isn't exactly impressive considering the horsepower number and what the C6Z manages to do with 145 horsepower less.

Agreed, a member of this forum (Brent) went 11.3 at 123mph in his bone stock 15 Z51 A8. Later with just longtubes and a tune he did 11 flat at 126 mph. Can't wait for mine to come in
And yet he/it still ran an 11.7 at 120mph. I would take it!
I find 2nd - 5th hard to believe, seems to be a little white lie there imo. Because you are telling me that with his other 2 passes "where he banged every gear" He only managed to knock off 2 tenths at best and gain 4mph?

ECU and Sc heat soak.. biggest issues. Nobody get's it. Plus only less than 2% can equal GM 1/4 times. If you want a 1/4 mile drag car don't buy a C7 Z unless you have a status to maintain and a 5 bricks of C notes .
