Today was the last payment deduction for my C5Z. I only owe another $96 and it will be paid off. I'll take care of that with cash next week at the bank. It feels good to be debt free and no car payments! Woot woot!!!
I was fortunate and blessed to have been able to lay down cash for my 01 last Dec. but have experienced that same feeling in the past on new cars I have bought. Good for U
congrats!... it's a nice feeling having the title and knowing that you own it... time to mod the hell out of it!
Naaaa...probably not. I have been down that road on my former Mustang Cobra. $12k later in mods and I sold the car for $2500 less than what I paid for it. Given it was 9 years later but still... I have a few minor mods already but will change out the exhaust in front of the axle back. That's about it.

it definitely is labor of love... I envy you though, I wish I was one of the guys that could do intake, headers, exhaust, and be done with it... that would make things so much easier on me
LOL...thanks for all the responses guys. Honestly with one in college, a senior in high school and three more behind them, it is time to focus more on investing for a while. ;-)
Congratulations! I just got mine and have 48 payments to go, but I'll pay more each month and should be in your same shoes come 24-30 months.
That was my situation exactly...48 months with plans to pay off in 36. However a visit from a big hailstorm last year on my truck allowed me to pay off in less than two years. A friend who runs a body shop told me it wasn't worth dropping $6k into repairs/paint job on a $10k truck.
