Just a shoutout.
You know it's a great day when you not only get finished up, and leave work half a day early, you're on your way home, a newer vette comes up behind you looking drop dead gorgeous, in your rear view mirror, and goes into the other lane gives the vette wave, and then slips back in behind you.
If the guy with the Red C5 on highway NC 181 is on this forum, you made a great day just a little better.
....and seeing that torch red, with that spoiler, those rims, and that taillight work, I think I know how I want my C5 when I get one.

Man, I've driven every type of car you can imagine, Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Merc, BMW, Range and they only car that I have driven that others actually acknowledge is the Corvette. I remember the first day I drove my C6; some other dude in a C6 gave me the 2 finger "What up" sign, Man I felt like a bada$$. It's the only car that it will happen in. I promise. Now that I have a C5 (back in the Vette family again) I love pulling up to Vette's and giving the wave.
Had a sweet C7 give me the wave the other day. Made my day too.

Received a wave and a hellacious burnout from a Electron Blue C5 GS last Friday. I took it as a compliment and possibly "Merry Christmas". No one else was on the road at that time of morning so all was safe. The C5 GS was a super car! (Hwy 74 in Wilmington NC).

Yesterday it was nice and sunny in MD so took the 04 vert out and saw 4 other vets, C5 and C6's, waving. But while standing at a light in right lande, a 2014 Camaro came up on my left and honked. Then proceeded. This is the second time it has happen to me while driving the vette with a Camaro honking. Are the Camaro's trying to start their own tradition?

I think the Camaros honk because they sit so much higher and the side window is so small that they can't get your attention any other way. I do wave at them though.
