Default Carpets get wet

My 50th anniversary convertible floor carpets get wet when it rains and with no garage it is exposed to the elements with the exception of car cover. I have used a tarp that covers the entire top and overlap over the windows but carpets get wet with the back of the seat area seems to be the origin area but yet the trunk backing and the trunk itself are dry so no idea where water is coming in. There are leaves falling every day around the house and where I park and could be clogging drainage system? Any help appreciated greatly. Thanks
