Mark
0-60 mph 4.1
0-1320 ft 12.8 @ 111.7 mph (see what happens when you build a car with no torque?)
Lateral acceleration (200-ft skidpad) 0.93g
Speed through 700-ft slalom 67.5 mph
EPA city/highway 23/26 mpg
Horsepower (DIN) 360 bhp @ 8300 rpm
Torque 230 lb-ft @ 6000 rpm (this is what Honda calls low end torque  )
Price as Tested: $53,950
So how does this car blow away everything in its price class when its slower than a Z06 and costs $3k more. What's even more amazing is the fuel economy: despite weighing 500 lbs. less than a Z06, with an engine about half the size with DOHC and variable valve timing the thing still can't get better mileage than a Z06 on the highway. So much for Honda technology.
Long live the pushrod V-8!!! :D :flag :chevy
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I'm not sure if that article could be much more biased. They brought the Z06 to the table to compare it, then selectively left it out of their comparisons to the S2000R whenever it crushed it. Like the Z06 didn't exist anymore or they forgot the Z06 only costs $50k.

That said, I think the streetable F1 engine is  If I was rich I'd prolly get one but only to supplement a garage that already had a Z06 and '03 Cobra (I'm gonna get flamed for the Cobra comment...)

if you knock off everything past the .com you can get to his directory
in the directory you can even find a family photograph http://www.mcclatchie.com/images/24-...3-0359_IMG.JPG
what I don't understand, is if your going to make a fake article, why not hide or prohibit access to your directory,
guess people don't think of the little details like that
The other thing is the people running the current S2000 can't keep them together; broken clutches, shock towers, transmissions, differentials, etc..
