Briedgestone RE-11 comes in those sizes, though 8VETTE7 is right, you need to make sure the wheels support those sizes.

The company i got the wheels from said they use those sizes on the wheels i bought 18x8.5 and 19x10.actually that is what he recommended to me.
But i have been looking for this size off and on for a couple months and can't find a complete set or if i do they are crazy high.

what is your total budget?
does that include new tire pressure sensors?
Many tire design do not allow for the use of 305 tires because the width of the tire is prohibitive..
Some tire designs will only allow a 295 tire to fit inside the quarter panel.
Some wheels ( aftermarket ) have an offset that will make it harder to add a wider tire.
do your research before you commit to a tire for all the wrong reasons.

You can get a "wider" tire in the same sizes. The first number in the nomenclature refers to the section width. This measurement is from sidewall to sidewall. Each manufacturer determines what their tread width to secton width ratio is. So when shoppng tires, also look at tread width to get what you want.

you didn't mention tire pressure sensors. mounting balancing and shipping..
if your total budget is 800 to 1000 dollars, that doesn't give you much room for options.

the tire shop says that's the size they use? ON a C5? and what is that tire brand and what is the actual tread width? If you deviate from what the shops says, that leaves you responsible for the fit.. what is the actual offset of the wheel and the backspacing..?
Like I said, Not all 305 tires are the same size, just like not all tread wear ratings are not the same from manufacturer to manufacturer..
For example a Pirelli P zero tire at 305 is not as wide as a Michelin Pilot sport at 305. If you use a Michelin Pilot sport you need a 295 tire.. if you use a 305 it will stick out .
Many people use a 10 wide wheel on the front of a C5 and 11 inch rear wheel...
Tire pressure sensors are going to cost you 500 dollars, I would not suggest you use any tire on a C5 without a tire pressure monitor sensor.
You ad them to mounting and balancing and shipping and you are at 700 dollars, that leaves you 300 dollars for the actual tires.

Local shops here mount and balance is included in the price. The company I got the wheels said they use the hankook v12 mostly. Monitors can I not use the ones on the factory wheels?

typically tire pressure monitors last 8 to 10 years... the TPMS all have date stamps on them... over my 14 years here Ive seen many people state that their TPMS were failing to work in the 8 to 12 year range, I had my first one go in 10 years, and I replaced them, recently I bought new, much wider wheels and tires for my flares and bought New sensors. Although we have seen one member state that his are 17 years old.
The thought would be, if your TPMS are old, it might be a good idea to replace them even though they might be working today, Ill go for a ten year guarantee any day... compared to having to allocate another day to have all the sensors replaced down the road.

When you come on here and ask for opinions be ready to receive many different and conflicting ones. When it comes to the tpms system I am the member that ET mentioned that had the sensors last 17 years. I also own a 1998. The questions I have is how long have you owned the car and do you know how old the sensors are. The consensus here is that you change them even if they are working when you change your wheels. Well, mine was not. When I changed my wheels for the second time the car was 12 years old, the sensors were working so I went with them, they are still working today. I am not here to tell you what i did is the right thing to do. But it worked for me. good luck with what ever way you go.

here is a list of matching tires in the sizes of 245 and 285

and here's a list of matching tires for the sizes of 265 and 305

one thing to mention, the 245 and 285 combo are the correct tire height of 25.7 and 26.7 as factory tires are. the 265 and 305 combo are going to be 1/2" shorter at 25.2 and 26.2. this won't cause any traction control or active handling issues, but will make the car about 1/4" closer to the ground. also, speedo will be slightly off.

now doing some comparing of same brand all sizes are acceptable for the rims you have

bridgestone potenza re11

tire ----------price --section width---tread width
245/40-18 -- 220.00 ---- 9.8 -------- 9.0
265/35-18 -- 266.00 ---- 10.7 ------- 9.6

285/35-19 -- 306.00 ---- 11.5 ------- 10.4
305/30-19 -- 329.00 ---- 12.2 ------- 11.1

now you can see the amount of tread width of each tire and can tell if it's worth the price to change, given the same brand.

now let's see what happens when you change brand

tire ------------------------------------------ sw ---- tw
245/40-18 bridgestone potenza re11 ---------- 9.8 --- 9.0
245/40-18 Continental ExtremeContact DW ---- 9.8 --- 8.5

285/35-19 bridgestone potenza re11 ---------- 11.5 --- 10.4
285/35-19 Continental ExtremeContact DW ---- 11.4 --- 10.2

as you can see, the bridgestone offers more tread width for the same given section width.
