Have been lurking on this forum forum for awhile and learned a lot from all the info here. I made the jump and bought a 2001 Z06 with 20K mile that will arrive tomorrow. BTW, user name is based on my Kawasaki sport touring bike so do not be surprised by the modified Z06 in the pics. I am sure will be here looking for more advice soon so thanks in advance!
I've been watching your car on eBay the few times he had it listed... Nice find!!!!!
Thanks...it took me awhile to make up my mind. I was going back and forth between a C5 Z06 and C4 ZR1. I really liked the LT5 motor in the ZR1 but overall for the same money/quality the C5 Z06 was an overall better car for me. The mods on this car are what I planned to do and colors were my first choice. Only change I will be making is removing some of the engine chrome to fit my personal taste and then HP improvements.
Thanks. Yes, it has a lot of cosmetic mods - 18" CCW wheels, L5 fender flares and rear spoiler plus a lot of chrome in the engine compartment. It has Corsa exhaust, MGW shifter and aftermarket intake (have not figured out the brand yet). Also, comes with the original quarter panels and a new set of Bilstein shocks. I have to go through the stack paperwork that comes with it regarding all the maintenance and mods added...my understanding is the PO did a lot of car shows.
Beautiful car! When get a chance, can you post the specs of your wheels and tire size? I'd like to see some pictures from the side too👍
Got the car this morning with no delivery issues. Dealer Toy Barn has been great to work with. Here are couple of additional pics the dealer did and one back in the garage with the gang after first real drive.
I had an 04 silver Z with the mod red interior and I had a set of CCW track wheels that looked just like yours. That car looked fabulous. One of the best combos/looks going in my opinion.
I have a black/black 04 now, but I still love that silver Z. Nice buy!

Thanks...a black Z can be much more "sinister" looking. What kind of wheels are running on your 04?
Great looking car, I love Classics on a Z06. I have them on my torch Z06 too. I'd be curious to see how chromed the engine is. If you ever want to show it, people love seeing shiny stuff, though I'm not into too much too. This is not a criticism but the car sits too level. The nose should be brought down a 1/2" or so. According to GM aerodynamics, the best setting for high speed handling and aero on the highway is that the C5 should have the nose slightly lower than the rear. Otherwise a fantastic looking car and it looks to be in excellent condition.
Wow... if all those cosmetic mods made hp, you'd have 700! Nice Z!
Still going thru the car to find HP mods and so far have found Hurricane CAI, power duct, Granatalli MAF, MSD Super Conductor wires, VR Velocity Stack and the Corsa exhaust...maybe gets the 2001 to the 2002 engine improvements? The MGW and bushing upgrade have made for nice shifting. Also, removed about 10 pounds of chrome...gotta count for something.

What size Classics are you running on the front? My Z has 18x10 w/ 275/35-18 Pilots and will rub slightly on a max lock turn so not sure can get it lower. I agree it should look and handle better lowering the front. I removed a lot of the engine chrome add-ons...looked nice but not my thing either. I actually like the look of the red LS6 fuel rail covers. Below before and after pics:

Stock. I am Jonesing for some new wheels, however. We'll see. I am considering 18s all around. CCW classics with hyperblack centers seem like a great match.
