Suction as much of the coolant from the tank as you can, disconnect hoses, remove old tank, install new tank, reconnect hoses and refill tank with coolant. No need to "bleed the system."

Changed the reservoir today. When I took it out, I noticed an electrical connection under the tank, but it was not connected to anything. Is this from the early years when a sensor was connected to the tank?
97 and 98 had an electrical connection for a low coolant sensor. That was eliminated in 99 as I recall. If the tank you removed had that connector it was NOT the original tank if your car is an 03 as your profile indicates.... Perhaps a previous owner cheaped out and replaced the OEM tank with an early year used tank when the OEM tank failed..
Yes, mine is a 2003. The tank was original, as it was identical to the one I bought. The connector was not connected to anything, just laying on the frame portion under the tank. It was white, if that makes any difference.
