Hey ya'll, its that time to get new tires, currently i have a set of Nitto Invo's on my 99 coupe.. had my eyes on the Hankook V12's or the Bridgestone Potenzas. Any feedback on these tires? or maybe other tires youve had good experience with?

Never had a set of the Bridgestones, but I am currently running a set of the Hankook Ventus V12s on my '03. Love the tires - good handling, very low road noise, smooth ride and best of all, very good price.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some new tires.
I just bought my 3rd vette. I had a 96 vert auto and a 00 vert 6 speed. Just bought a 04 Z06 that had 18,800 miles on it with the original goodyear F1's that are crap. So the first thing I did was start the search for tires. Wanted the PS2's but I am only going to use the car for weekend trips and car shows I did not see paying $1,700 for tires. Was looking at the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 sport and in fact ordered a set but on backorder for 4 - 6 weeks. My rational to ordering these was that they were the only tires in OE size for the C5Z06. Well after some more research I changer my order to a set of Nitto Nt05's. Being that my car will see only dry weather (unless I get caught in the rain) and the fact that it will only get 3 - 4 k miles a year I opted for something with a little better grip. They should be in this weekend so I will let you know what I think. From what I have found on the forumn they seam to be well liked tires. For the Nitto's the rear tire is OE sice and the front is 275 40 17. OE calls for a 265 40 17. Loking at the specs the Nitto in 275 40 17 is only .17 of an inch wider. So being that it is the same diamater as the 265 their will be no issue with the ACS/TC system.
posting a budget and an application... would help with a selection..
application... Daily driver, looking for longevity (touring tire )
performance ( soft compound, sticky tire ) willing to give up tire longevity
or a combination of both ( knowing that this choice would not give you optimum performance or optimum longevity )

Where are you locating the NT05's in stock? I can't find the 295/35/18 anywhere. Direct Tire said it is backordered and could be several months or longer.
Thanks,
Jeff

That was Discount Tire Direct that was backordered, not Direct Tire.
My apologies!

Great point, thank you. Budget Isn't to much a factor, but I am not looking to spend big bucks on some run flats, the car is a daily driver, road noise and longevity would be what I'm aiming at

Same here. Put V12 summer tires on mine the end of summer. Not really many miles on them yet, but so far I love them. Much better ride than the Kumhos they replaced.
