Default Glass top

Is the glass top supposed to be completely transparent?

Mine looks hazy...almost frosted. Was that way when I bought it. Frankly, it almost seems like it is supposed to be that way. Or, do I have the "crazing" that is common?

Like I said - it doesn't look like small spiderweb cracks...just "frosty".

I have an 04 - only has 14k miles so has not been outside much - it is clear - not hazed or spidered - but it is tinted.

The clear has hazed over. The clear needs to be removed and recleared and buffed. That has done that because of lack of care. If it was polished with uv protection that would not happen.

I've read them. Looks pretty labor intensive for sure...looks like I'm gonna live with it for now.

Thanks-

Looking for a UV protectant - don''t have the crazing issue yet. Thoughts?

I use the same polish on the top that I use on the rest of the car. Zanio. There are plenty of good products that can be used. Most of the wax and Polish on the market today will have uv protection. I use only polish.

Perfect - I'm a Zaino fan too - just have not used to on the targa top.

Thanks!

You will need to wet sand it and then polish it back out. I would recommend wet sanding it and then polishing it out with a product such as Menzerna FG400 or some of the heavy cut megs compound.

Yes, it should be clear not frosty. I'd say age has taken its toll on your top.
