Default (HELP) Moisture Inside Trunk Lid!!!

So I got a weird problem with my 03 Z06. The inside of the trunk gets a lot of moisture and drips water on the carpet in the trunk when its cold outside. I daily drive my vette so I really want this fixed and the carpets starting to smell. Anyone else have this problem or can find another thread discussing this problem, please let me know.

Is it condensation on bottom of trunk lid or a leak?

Condensation. It only gets wet on the thin sections on the trunk lid.

What kind of condition is the weatherstripping that goes around the trunk opening on your car? If it is in a deteriorated condition, perhaps moisture is getting inside the trunk area then dripping down on the carpet. Just a thought.

They sell these interior trunk covers that might insulate it enough to eliminate condensation. Or you could make something.

The stripping looks like its good condition but if its cheap to replace ima do that. I thought about getting a trunk pad but ide hate for it to get damaged.

The problem is condensation, not leaks? Right? Why is there so much moisture in your car? Are the floorboards wet? Is it really humid in your part of the country? Heater core leaking?

Thats correct, it has no leaks. I live in San Antonio, Texas. I actually found some water seeping in where the rear window and trunk meet. Previous owner tried sealing it but it was still getting through. I redid his patch but there is no condensation in that area. The condensation is all on the other end of the trunk as you can see in the pics. Im going to put extra sealant all around the factory sealant and see if that helps any.
