My favorite is the Magnaflow Performance Exhaust P/N 15660 and I have had Borla Stingers, Borla Performance Series, B&B PRT's, B&B Rt 66 and GHL Bullets.
The Magnaflow Performance Exhaust has a deep throaty sound and are not overly loud but you sure can hear them coming and going. Everyone comments on their deep throaty muscle car sound.The quality is the best of anything else out there too and the exhaust plate makes alignment a snap. My wife has the GHL Bullets on her C5 and gets a lot of positive comments on them too but I still prefer the sound of my Magnaflow exhaust. The Bullets are louder but their sound is not quite as deep.
These 2 are my favorites but I recommend the Magnaflow Performance P/N 15660 for what you are looking for. Here is a link to their website but if you purchase through one of the Corvette Forum Vendors you will save a lot.

I put Billy Boat Route 66's on both my C6 as well as the C5 - - -to my ear, it makes a Corvette sound like it's supposed to sound !
