Never!!!! The dimensions (width to length ratio) are all wrong and it's way to skinny. But as it is always said on the forum, it's your car so do with it as you wish.

Doubt that they were trying to duplicate the width of what is on a 63's
split window.
Probably made it narrower to give it a more contemporary look, as well as to minimize the rear view obstruction.
Looks horrible,...
here is a choice tidbit of information.. ( CTI ) in 1963 the Corvette was something special , but no one knew of the shear desire a 1963 spit window coupe would draw over time..
IN 1964, Baldwin Motion of New York offered a Kit.. to make your 63 spilt window couple look like the newer model 1964 Corvette with the solid rear window. Hundreds of these kits where sold to upgrade to the 1964 look.. at the time ( and without knowing what we all know now ) it was the Hot set up..
This split window C5 kit looks like it was designed in China.

Back when I was a kid, I hung around with some older guys who were really into Vettes. One of them owned a fuelie, split window coupe. In 64, he cut out the pillar, bought the rear window for a 64 coupe and the chrome and installed it. He was real proud that his car looked a year newer.
I wonder what happened to that 63 coupe.
As for the C5 split window, not a good idea.
