Does anybody insure their C5 through the NCM or one of their underwriters and if so what are your thoughts?
I've had my '98 insured through the NCM for several years. I have an Agreed Value policy that limits my mileage to 1,000 miles a year, which is perfect for me. My car is just a toy and only gets driven on sunny summer days. I've never had a claim, so I can't tell about that. Dealing with Adam Boca has always been a pleasurable experience for me.

Currently have NCM for both my C4 and C5 and I am more than satisfied for the coverage, mileage allowances, and premiums.
Adam Boca and team will answer any questions you may have beforehand, to ensure you understand exactly what you are getting for the associated premiums.
I have my 04 insured with them. Very happy with their prices and service. You have to another vehicle and send them the insurance form. Also a good driving record and a secure place to park it like a garage. Talk to Adam or Bobby Sue? and they can answer all of your questions.

Switched my C5 over to the NCM Insurance last July. Their policy, for a very generous agreed value coverage, was only about $10 a year higher than what I had been paying for no agreed value coverage and I actually have better coverage for things like collision and comprehensive deductibles. I chose the 3K miles per year limit on mine which has so far proven to be more than adequate. You just need to read the fine print on what you can and can't use the car for.
I've not had any claims yet, and hope I don't. But the staff is friendly and obviously know Corvettes.
I went with NCM also on my 04' with 6000 miles yr and agreed value. As everyone mentioned great value, it took a few calls to get on the same page but after that smooth sailing.

I had a claim with them last summer. The windshield had cracked from a stone chip that had spread.
I was unable to drive the car at the time due to some engine mods that were underway.
I called a nearby body shop that is known for their excellent Corvette work and obtained their recommendation for glass service.
The NCM adjuster ok'd that glass shop who promptly came to my house and installed the windshield in my garage.
Smooth transaction with $0 out of my pocket!
I'd love to pay their rates, but I don't want to be restricted on where/when I drive my Vettes.
I agree. I would agree to a mileage limit, but I don't want them to tell me where or when I can/can't drive my car. I want to be able to go on a road trip if i wanted to. If they have a plan like that i'll give them a call in the spring.
Leland West in Calif is also another agent for American Modern. I have my agreed value plan thru them. They also off an unlimited mileage option which I have (even though I drive less than 5K per year). The reason I got it is so that I can take the Vette on the occasional trip to see my sons in Detroit and not worry about mileage. While I've never placed a claim, others that have done so have said the service is very impressive with $0 out of pocket. And yes, it does cover glass as well...
