I have been on a few show car caravans with 9 0r 10 , but 50 cars? Eating, lodging and fill-ups must have been an experience. Did you have any breakdowns?

I recently did 800 miles in one day, on a road trip to hit up a few airports and air museums in southern California. I was with a photographer buddy who had a goal of shooting over 500 unique models of airplanes in 2014. Our road trip put him over the top. I think the final number was 512.

Zero complaints. Great day, although a long one.

Last July my girl friend and I made a coast to coast road trip, 27 states in total (basically from NJ to Settle to US 1 at Big Sur to FL then back up north). In total it was about 11,000 miles in about 20 days.

US Air Force Museum

Climbing Pike's Peak

Grand Teton National Park

US1 Near Big Sur

Blue Ridge Parkway

We started with 50 when we left Seattle. Our first stop of the night was Worley Idaho with well over 100 cars! Lodging check in was a patience game yes but all other aspects were so easy due to our Caravan captain having everything organized for the trip to Bowling Green including most lunches and a couple of dinners. We gassed up the night which lasted for the day (except for the C3's!).

No breakdowns for me!
But one C4 lost a belt and one C2 lost a water pump on the way back

Well,
Flew 900 miles to buy it in Atlanta, and drive it home to west central Illinois a few years ago.
Then;
West Illinois to Sebring FL and return, twice (5 times counting my C4's)
West Illinois to Old Williamsburg and that area, return.
West Illinois to Yellowstone/Grand Teton twice (6 times counting C4's) and return
West Illinois to Southern California, via Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons; moved after retiring.
SoCal to San Francisco to giant redwoods, then to Lake Tahoe, return home

Later this year, going up to Oregon and Crater Lake Natl Park, then to Grand Canyon, back to SoCal.

Don
