Just a heads up for anyone interested, harbor freight has these floor jack spreader beam attachments on sale for 39.99, they also have a 20% off coupon online that saves you a little more, these things a solid as a rock and a really good buy at this price.
Will they fit front and back? I thought I saw somewhere they had to be modded as the width you want to use front to back is different?

Hey guys, it is supposed to fit most any Jack with a removable cup, which most jacks I've ever owned unless it was super cheap give you that option, another thing is they have their lowrofile aluminum and steel floor jacks pretty darn cheap right now as well (almost grabbed one of those 2)
It does fit the rear without issue, I have not tried the front yet, but it's pretty adjustable and to be honest I have always jacked my car from behind the front wheels cause it's kinda low, then use Jack stands on the jacking pucks

Mine is kind of low too and I also have a front splitter so I know it won't fit under the front for sure. I will have to go check them out tomorrow when I have day off. Thanks for the heads-up.
Cool device but just be very careful about anything from Harbor Freight. Everything, without exception, I have bought from Harbor Freight has broken within a short time. From my experience nothing HF sells is of high quality. This jack is one of those things that need to be of the highest quality known to man or people can die. Harbor Freight + $39 = not to be trusted as a quality part.
The low profile jack from Harbor Freight is awesome. You can get some quality stuff from there, but they also sell a lot of junk as well. That looks like a nice setup.
Thing works perfect for the c5. Jack don't touch the front air dams or anything. And it raises the back high enough to pull the exhaust in 1 whole piece. Can't beat it for 130 dollars
I have a lot of Harbor Freight hand tools - including 1/2" impact sockets, and full 3/4" drive metric and inch sets, and regular wrenches as needed over and above the Craftsman sets. Plus various ratchets, breaker bars and all the other stuff. No problem with any of it. I also have their so-called racing jack - it was cheap but works, sort of. Problem is that the valving is such that it's almost impossible to lower anything very slowly, and it requires a strong arm to go up - not many pumps to full height. I use it as an auxiliary to my "proper" floor jack when lifting both wheels on one side at once. The big one does the heavy lifting, the small one gets the other wheel up in the air.
Only thing I ever had a problem with was an impact driver - took it back, no problem.
Best bargain I had was their 12" compound mitre saw - got in on special at about 1/4 of the price of a brand name saw. It's cut a LOT of lumber since.

You do have to be careful with some stuff you buy at harbor freight, as you would just about anywhere else. I have had name brand tools fail! With that said, I have a small low profile HF aluminum racing jack that I have used for over 10 years with no problems whatsoever. I recently bought a 3 ton low profile jack from there and it has been great so far.
Also this item is made of pretty stout steel, can't see any way it would be unsafe, it's a well built item 4 sure, I was really impressed
I have the low profile jack from Harbor Freight, works great, but this set-up won't work under the front of my vette. to loooowww. Don't forget to use your jackstands
I use this jack to lift my C5, fits under the air dam of even lowered cars.

The harbor freight cross beam fits perfectly on this jack, I use the cross beam to lift the car much higher onto large jack stands, seems much more stable than just the jack alone. For Harbor Fright product, the beam is extremely substantial.
Stagger the 2x12's First 2x12 or 2x10 about 3 feet long, Use a second 2x12 about 18 inches long secured to the first board. Bevel the leading edge of each step to help the wheel roll up easier. That should give you plenty of room to get a floor jack under the front cradle.
