You could use the same proximity sensor that I have on the front of my 2000. It attaches by two sided mounting tape. I use 3M body molding tape. It is the curb sensor sold by vendors on this forum.

Sounds like what I'm looking for. Can you give me a link.
I am not that good at computer stuff to post the link but if you search curb alert on the forum it will come up with the mini curb alert sensor from Corvette Mods. That's the one I have.

Also found a system called Proxel sensors. They're in Italy. Pretty cool, basically a sensor tape that adheres to the inside of both bumpers. About 160.00$. Love the concept but, the potential deal breaker is both bumpers have to be removed for install!
Have you thought about a backup camera rather then sensors? bolts up to license plate screws or double side tape and can be installed in a rear view mirror or in a aftermarket stereo.. gives a grid to judge distance.

That looks pretty good, but I never found a U.S. distributor?
