Default Lowered - Opinions Please

Lowered our vert yesterday. Took the back down 6 threads and the front down 5 full turns. Thoughts?

Looks great now don't forget to have your frontend alignment done or your tires will be ruined in a short time.

Looks good to me. Doesn't look low enough to cause many issues.

It does look like the rear is a little lower than the front? Could just be the camera angle. I think in general people usually lower the front just a tad lower than the rear.

Looks good to me. I like the lowered look and am considering having hat done to mine. Only thing is I would be worried about scratching or scraping it all the time

Here is a few more views. I think the rear is slightly higher but will get a couple of side pics to verify.

I wondered if it was low enough to fix the stance appearance. It certainly couldn't be any higher. The front bolts stopped turning right at 6 full turns so I backed off one. I didn't want it all the way down but it doesn't look as low as others who used the stock bolts.

Lowered always looks great! Give it a week or so to settle and then get a four wheel alignment done.
Do you have before and after pics?

Yeah but so far it's hard to see the difference.

Looks good. I did mine quite a while ago on the stock bolts but didn't take it clear down. Looks way better but the ride got harsher. However, I also added C6 Z06 sway bars at the same time, then had it aligned.

My ride height is about the same as yours. It does scrape a bit more but you learn to compensate for it in ways.

Maybe someday I'll fill the wheel wells with a different wheel/tire combo, but for now, I really like the look better.

Here it is on the day after I did it all.

Think the front needs to come down a tad. Get the Alignment ASAP, I waited a few weeks and ruined my front tires, when you lower it the toe goes way out of shape till you get it aligned.

Lowered on stock bolts.....

I can see the difference - looks good!
You may want to raise the back or lower the front a bit in a few days - see where it settles first

Thanks for the feedback. I'll go another turn on the front and then get the alignment. It does look better; glad I took the plunge.

Nice look to it, but it does appear that the front needs to go a bit lower.

good advice - give it a little settle in time and do the alignment.

How long do you recommend to settle? I've already went about 70 miles in the car; is it more about time? I wasn't going to drive it again before getting the alignment. Should I let it sit this week and take another look this weekend?

I took mine for a nice ride and it settled...I lowered it all the way down in the front and 90% in the rear. This resulted in a 1" drop in the rear and a 5/8 drop in the front. I ended up raising the rear a 1/4 inch to improve the ride.

So the front your turned the bolts until they wouldn't turn anymore; how many full turns was that approximately? And the rear, how many threads are still showing? Mine started at 12 on driver side and 10 on passenger side; I went to 6 and 4 respectively.

I now have 5-6 threads visible in the rear and both sides are now 27 5/8's. The front I did not count them and just spun them all the way up with my fingers until they stopped. My rear was 27 3/8 when down to 2 threads showing. the front is now 26.
