Having had Corsa touring exhaust for the past 5 years and having it sound like mush it has recently sounded like i felt it should with the beat of the v-8 audible. I like the sound now, but what has caused the change, There are no leaks. Is it carbon build up or what? Has anyone else had this experience?

Not sure what would cause the condition you describe. I have Corsa Indy Pace Cars on my '03 and it sounds great. Perhaps something came loose inside the muffler and is letting more sound through.
The physical difference between the Corsa Touring and non-Touring is that the Touring has slots cut into the sides of the inlet pipe to the muffler just inside the muffler body. This apparently lets gasses and sound get into the muffler body just as the exhaust and sound enter the muffler. That causes the "noise " to be lessened vs the non-Touring which forces gasses and noise through the pipe. Many years ago Corsa sold sleeves that could be put in the pipe of the touring setup to make it a non-Touring (more throaty sound).
I would guess that something has at least partially blocked these slots and hence the increase sound.
That makes sense, and is about what i thought. Hearing checked? it's louder not softer.
