Give Marc at Vettenuts a call. He can hook you up with everything you will need to add the foglights to your car and point you in the right direction for installation. If you don't already have the service manual set for your car with the wiring schematics you can go to the public library and look at them there.
I have helped to add fog lights to a number of Z06's. In those cases the wiring for the dash switch was there and so just a switch addition was all that was needed inside.
A lot of people here have added fog lights to Z06's and used a method I don't approve of since it goes over the wire size load but apparently the margin is there since they have never had issues. You surely can't go with bulbs that draw more current than OEMs with that approach.
Not at home now so I can't provide details. If you want to PM me with your number I can discuss options and what you need to look for.
I do need you to look to see if the wiring connectors are there or not.

Thanx for that info! I will be in touch...
I have located a set of lights for $75 and they also have a switch I believe...I will check with them on that...
If all the wires are in place it might be a plug and play situation which would be great
Does anybody know if all the wires/plugs are there...???
I am going to be replacing the skid bars/lower radiator support in a week or so so I will be right there...it would be a great time to do it...
Thanx again! I will be in touch...
Is it a base model? I'm not sure if the base models had fog lights ?? Don't quote me on that but I know a base model didn't several things with the 1SA package that the 1SB package had.

At least from '97-00, fog lights were an option on the cars. From 2001 - 2004, they came as part of the 1SB package. The Corvette Black Book doesn't say anything about them if you didn't get at least the 1SB option.
The wiring will be there from the switch to the fuse box and the relay and fuse will be there too. My car is a Z06 which never came with fogs. You will just need to plug in the switch. You will need to run wires from the fuse box to the lights. The best way is to tap into the purple wire coming out from under the fuse box from terminal #39. You should run the wire to a relay and then to the lights. This reduces strain on the stock wiring. I have never had any problems in the many years my car has been wired this way and the lights will work exactly like the OEM system. It will also allow your lights to work as flash to pass during the daytime.
BTW, the stock fogs kinda suck for lighting output. Either upgrade them to HID or get a set of PIAA lights, they make some small lights that fit right in there and have outstanding performance. Since you can't see the lights once they're mounted in there, you might as well get some good ones. Don't get the 1100x lights, when they blow out you have to buy the entire lens and bulb, they have another that uses an H3 bulb that puts out a lot of light. They are the same size as the stock lights. I just don't remember the model number. The stock lights don't put out enough light to notice they are on from behind the wheel.

BTW...what is "PIAA lights"...got a link or pix...???

Did not know they were an option in the early years. Confirmed it by pulling up a 97 OM.
This guidance will work and I approve of it SO LONG as you use a relay. Using a relay could also allow you to install lights that draw more power. If you need guidance on how to select and install a relay to power the lights let us know.
When he says "strain" he is describing current draw. I just spent 2 months helping someone who bought a car where some idiot before paid NO attention to overcurrent and several harnesses went up in fire and smoke.
If your dash is wired for a fog light switch the connector there should have a Purple wire and a Yellow wire (in addition to an Orange and Black wire for power and ground).
PS: Don't forget to have a fuse (properly sized) in the power side of the circuit to the lights.

PIAA is a brand of accessory driving and fog lights. The 1100x is a small driving light that is the same size as the factory C5 fogs. They put out quite a bit of light for such a small size. Unfortunately the lens and bulb are one piece so when they blow you have to replace the entire unit minus the housing, so a bulb costs over $40. When I called PIAA and complained, they let me trade them in for a different model light which uses a separate H3 bulb with a glass lens. When aimed properly, you could use these as low beams without raising your headlights. I don't remember the model but they are small driving lights with a chrome body. I couldn't find any of my old info so you'll have to google PIAA, that's the brand name.
