Driver side engine bay, towards the fire wall. 02 z06

knock sensor maybe,should be another end right behind where that is tied to the ac lines. or it goes to your evap solinoid that is just in front of it about a foot forward.

Figured it out , not sure what it is but I took the rail off again and reached behind the intake and found a connector with a clip, it clips onto the bracket on the intake.

I believe it is the absolute manifold pressure sensor at the back of the manifold. If that's what it was, it should have vacuum lines running out of the fixture that is pressed into the manifold. They have a tendency to crack when the rear cradle is dropped incorrectly or too far for maintenance. There is another one hiding back there, maybe the camshaft positioning or knock sensor.
