Default travelers insurance

Anyone have travelers insurance? Thinking of switching from
Allstate who has raised my premium on 2 cars 43% in 3 years.
No accidents no tickets by me or wife. Travelers quoted substantially less.

Had Traverlers for 7 years and even worked for them 15 years and they did the same trickel up on premiums with no accidents. Went with Cincinnati Insurance and they have been great in service and cost.

Hate to say it guys but All companies go up......hasnt the price of getting your car fixed gone up. I am commercial ins manager and it all depends on what type of year each company has.....if they have a bad year with drivers 30-35 years old and corvettes have had above average losses the premium goes up no matter which company. And the opposite is true also thats why its always a guessing game......I would say try to stay with a company and keep a relationship and never leave for less than 10% savings in premium.

Just an opinion from someone who deals with this stuff every day!!!

Sorry, value of cars go down and premiums go up, and in 1989
a gallon of milk was $3.39 and you can buy it in kroger today
for$2.99. No, there is no excuse for a 43% increase in 2 years.
Six monthe difference $810--$498

Default From Farmers to Travelers

Was with Farmers 20+ years. Then found out the company i work for has discounts with Travelers, now saving over half what I was paying on my vette and my wives car.

Have home and DDs with Travelers for 10 years thru independent agent. When they try to go up I have agent get quotes from competitors and usually price holds.

If the car is not a DD, try some of the collector car policies. I have my c5z, Opel GT and 1st Gen Miata (highly modified) insured at agreed value thru Grundy at much better rates.

I've been with Travelers for over 15 yrs with little to no problems. The only issue I had was when I was putting a declared value on the Vette and my '55 Ford truck, they didn't believe the values. All I did was drive each to the office plus showed all the receipts from both, after they saw them they had NO problem with the value I placed on them. Now I have 3 different cars with them with a $500 deductible and have never had a issue. Good luck, L8R ZFLASH

You have to shop around. My wife sells insurance. We had American Commerce through her agency for a few years. This year at renewal time, the rates jumped a lot. She shopped around and ended up with Liberty Mutual, even though her agency doesn't write it. You have to do your homework. Rates vary with different companies and different states, naturally. I live in New Jersey, so they're all ridiculously high.

I've had travelers home and auto for about 7 years. I've filed claims against each and they've been very good to work with. I hit a deer with my truck a few years back and saw no change to premiums.

Last year my son flooded a bathroom and 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a bathroom and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Travelers was out the next business day and left me a check to start working on repairs. Premium went up $200 on homeowners for an $8k repair. I'm ok with it given how quickly and fairly they treated me both times.

Paid off daughters really slick Saab.. dropped the comprehensive to just liability, figured we'd save a buck or two...
She wrecked it the next day! Just check prices, pay my premiums and lick my wounds...and have comprehensive on everything now.

Dealing with Insurance Companies is usually a pain. One of the reasons it appears many of us have stayed with the same company for many years.

Our family had State Farm til last spring. I shopped and went with Farmers and saved 50%.

As "memmer" said, I'll be checking more often now.
