Do Bilstein sports tend to lower the ride height of the car or raise it? Also after the install do I need to get the car aligned?

Thanks,
The Big Dog

Bilstein sports lowered mine a touch. The only reason I know is because with the F55, I could slide my jack under the rear cradle when changing the oil, and it would barely clear the cradle. Now, with the sports, I have to remove the top round part of my jack to get under the cradle.

No discernable change with mine and no- didn't do an alignment but have seen no change in tire wear - - shop said it wasn't necessary if alignment was good before shock installation.

No difference by themselves. The sport shocks are recomended for lowered vehicles, but think that is for the increased dampaning needed for limited suspension travel.

However, if you lower it [via bolts] you should at least get the alignment checked.
