Also, what are the downsides/disadvantages to Hotwires? the theory behind them sounds excellent :yesnod:

I don't know about this- I have Magnecor KV85's with NKG TR55's in my 2001 and she really purrrr's!!

I read it in MidAmerica. at the bottom of their discription it says "Not for ZO6 application" right after the CARB#

I dont understand why they wouldnt work on it, I mean the only thing physically different about a ZO6's engine is the intake, heads and cam right??

You are right! Same ignition system (coils), same factory wires. I really am at a loss why Mid America would print that? I can tell you I've made the changes and they are just fine.

There is your answer. CARB certification. They don't want to pay the money to have them recertified. They will work no problem. :yesnod:
