Same here. Bought my C5 two weeks ago. Drove it home, haven't driven it since. Snowed last night but was in the 40's today. I was itching to take it out but the roads are filthy and the pot holes are abundant. My poor Denali looks like hell. Didn't want to subject the Vette to it too.

I was driving home yesterday and was on a well-traveled street in our area. I happened to be behind a couple of cars and there was so much salt dust in the air that it looked like we were driving on a dry gravel road.

Default It's all my fault too

This whole Snowmageden 2015 thing started as soon as I retired and put the tent-garage up in the back yard. Boston Area.

And THAT'S EXACTLY why I won't take the car out for a quick spin, "when the roads are dry".

Where do you think that "dust in the air" winds up???

In all the cracks and crevices of your car......

What do you think happens when all that dust gets wet, either by a hose or rainfall???

It starts corroding the metal parts of your car, unless you give the car a SERIOUS rinse!!

That's why mine has been in storage since the end of last October.

I'm thinking I should be good to get the vette out of the barn by April 1st unless we get some major changes in weather up here in michigan...I got plenty of modding to do though so I'm not worried about the delay gives me time to rip out the interior etc...

I can't wait until spring.
I know your pain...bought mine at the end of November, drove it for about an hour the last Saturday in November, been garaged since...

It was -20 this morning and the natural snow on the ground is now taller than the roof of my Vett (don't worry its in a garage, under a padded cover since October).

Leaving for Florida on Friday and I can't wait to walk out of that airport and get hit with a warm breeze!

Same here with the salt, mine won't touch the road until we have at least a couple heavy rain events in the spring and the roads are not just dry but washed free of salt and that nasty brine they are using.
